I must confess, I have a thing about NADs. And this causes me no end of grief when I try and discuss it with other separates enthusiasts or in an electrical store. I mean really, please don’t call your business NAD, you’re just asking for trouble.
If you can get over the stupid name, this NAD C315BEE is really a mint amplifier. NAD hasn’t changed the design for years because they know they’re onto a winner. It works well, it looks good and it’s simple to use. The sound emitting from this sound equipment wunderkind is crisp, resonating and (when the neighbours are out) really bloody loud.
My first NAD amp was given to me by a DJ friend who disappeared to Ibiza for a year. It’s the amp of the professionals and, now onto my second (the first one was lost to a spilled beer RIP), I can see why.
They must be dashingly confident at NAD to give their business such a daft name but once you’ve owned a NAD you’ll understand their confidence. Geeks are notorious for their dedication to their gadget or brand of choice (near on obsessive Mac users anyone?) and NAD is up there with the kings of the gadgetry.
