I have worn Oakley sunglasses for about 10 years now. I have always spent a lot of time in the sun and to be honest i don't know how i coped before, squinting at desert and tropical sunshine. I adopted Oakley Half Wire Sunglasses about 3 years ago and am now on my 2nd pair.

As the years have gone by i have steadily moved away from the big thick wrap around alien style sunglasses. They looked cool in the late 90's, but they take over your face a bit and leave you with nice panda eyes after a week on the beach.

Once I had graduated to half-wire glasses, i noticed the Panda issue was much reduced. With skinny Oakleys like these, your eyebrows and upper cheeks are much more exposed. The only areas that are left white are your eyelids and you tend to find a skinny white line appearing between your eyes and ears. This is as good as you can get really, without balancing Patrick Moore style shaded monocles in your eye sockets!

Oakley sunglasses all come with a world guarantee on the frames and i have to admit they are difficult to smash up, the plastic bends and doesn't shatter, although i would not recommend sitting on them too often. The Oakley half wire lenses are quite superb for blocking extreme light and yet being completely usable during darker times. I find that many times i have forgotten that i have them on after sunset or in a room, visibility is that clear and crisp.

Oakley half wire sunglasses are very comfortable and light, once you have worn them for a few days you forget they are there. When they are on your face, they mould around your eyes and don't move even in the stiffest of gales. The wraparound style is perfect for keeping grit and sand out of your eyes. I can walk in a sand storm with these sunglasses and without wincing never get anything in my eyes.
