ASPIRE 5315
I purchased the Acer Aspire 5315 laptop recently. I paid a slightly higher price than is advertised here. I was willing to shell out the approximately 40 pounds more because they were throwing in a couple of accessories to sweeten the deal.
However if you already have the bits and pieces (such as anti-virus protection, mouse and USB stick, etc.) as most people do, then this is definitely the better deal.
I am really pleased with the Acer Aspire 5315. I bought it as a second computer when I found that I didn’t really want to cart around my Powerbook G4 because I was afraid of losing it or having it stolen, and I also didn’t want to eat or drink near it in case it got messy. I was beginning to starve, as my line of work requires me to be on the computer sometimes for days at a time.
It is great value for what I paid. I like it: it is a really good-looking, compact little thing. It’s got an 80-gig hard drive, 1-gig RAM, Intel Celeron Mobile processor, Vista Home Basic, DVD writer, and a 15-inch wide-screen display. At this low price, you simply cannot go wrong.
