I have to be honest, the reason I chose the Ghd IV Salon Styler over the other brands was because of their mysterious, almost art-house adverts on the telly where the storylines are a little undecipherable but the girls have such fantastically sexy hair.

This model is an updated version of the Ghd IV Styler, and I chose the newer model because of the size of the plates, which are bigger than those of the Ghd IV Styler. This has been a huge timesaver for me because my hair is usually a nightmare to style, being extremely long, thick, and stubbornly straight.

You can make the Ghd IV Salon Styler just hot enough to set your hair properly, but gentle enough that it will still be touchably soft and silky. Equally helpful for sleepyheads like me who leave everything switched on when they leave the house, is the safety sleep mode, the styler switches itself off after not being used for 30 minutes. Best of all, it travels: wherever you may roam, it will automatically convert to the appropriate voltage.

On a recent holiday to New York, my friend forgot her converter plug for her hair straightener, so she used my salon styler the entire time. She has naturally curly hair and was surprised by how quickly and effectively the salon styler worked to make it perfectly sleek and straight. It was quite interesting that we were using the same tool to achieve opposite ends.
