Morphy Richards Fastbake 48280 Breadmaker

It’s hard to find decent bread in the local shops. It is all that awful pre-sliced stuff, so I only bought bread on my weekly sojourn to the supermarket. I would always get through the loaf in a few days and would be bread-less until my next trip.

I bought the Morphy Richards Fastbake 48280 Breadmaker and I am delighted with it. Not only do I have fresh bread baked at home, I barely have to do anything. You pop in all of the ingredients which you measure with a little cup, and the dough is mixed and then baked in the same drum. There is very little washing up to do, and best of all the machine does all of the kneading and proofing for me.

The Fastbake 48280 Breadmaker has 12 settings to help you make a perfectly tailored loaf. This Morphy has has three different crust settings so you can choose whether you want the crust to be light, medium or dark, and you can even bake cakes inside it. If you need a loaf of bread rather sharpish, you can use the Fastbake option which only takes an hour. Normally I use the overnight setting with timer. I just put in the ingredients and the machine will switch on at the right time to bake the bread so that it is ready and still-warm when I wake up.
