Yankee Candle Frankincense and Myrrh Scented Potpourri
This is a lovely accessory to have in the house at Christmas time, the Frankincense and Myrrh scents is a great way to bring the past to reality. These were two of the three gifts given by the three wise men during the nativity story of Jesus being born. They all had symbolic meaning.
The third gift was Gold and this can be the dish in which the potpourri can be placed. Kids always hear about the gifts at school with regards to the nativity, and now its possible to give them an sensual experience of that which occurred thousands of years ago. Even if this potpourri isn't used in a religious context, its combination is outstanding and makes any room feel refreshingly scented. I think the scent is particularly good to use in the kitchen as it can mask out all those ugly smells of the cooking that remain lingering in the air. Also i like to use it in the loft, it stops the upper part of the house smelling musty and mouldy.
It is a beautiful combination of dry flowers, leaves etc..and looks immaculate as a decoration piece in any room. I do like to put it in clear crystal vases as this makes the most of the seeing the ingredients that make up the pot pourri. The top up scents provided are great, i can carry on using the pot pourri for months! Its really cost effective too given how much scents cost in the shops nowadays. I keep a good stock of this potpourri, just in case they stop making it, that is how much i like it!!
