Terry Pratchett has achieved what many could not. Namely a cast of amazingly funny characters, a world so surreal it has to exist and plots that are both intricate and enjoyable.
To say that I am a fan would be an understatement, I deeply admire the author and his work and often find myself laughing at something that has happened in his books that I may have read weeks before. The writing is a perfect blend of intelligence and wit which is all an avid reader can really ask for.
The Pratchett Portfolio is giving fans exactly what we want, after all how many times have we argued about a characters origin or history throughout the novels and how many times have we had to search through over thirty books to find the answer. Having everything we need to know in one book is a godsend!
Any fan of the series would be thrilled to receive such an amazing compendium even if all they ever do is flick through it and stare at the gorgeous art of Paul Kidby who took over drawing the book covers after artists Josh Kirby sadly passed away.
A perfect coffee table book and an even better read this book is a must for the Pratchett devotee!
